Hello NYCO!

While every other senior is worrying herself sick about the SYF choice piece (as can be seen from the commotion on the tagboard), I am guilty to say that I am not so conscientious.... yet! I guess I am too excited since I am leaving for Vancouver tomorrow for my Global Classroom Programme! (I shall bring a maple tree back for everyone.) Or that because I have been watching too many weepy Korean movies these days and I am still dazed about whoever dying from whatever sickness etc. ...
On a lighter note, if you are not busy practising your instrument or sleeping like a log, let me suggest you a very meaningful activity to do at home on a lazy, humid Sunday afternooon. Trust me, doing this will not only develop your motor skills, but it will also allow you to show off to your other NYCO comrades during xiaozu/dazu gleefully. That's right, you can...

MAKE AN NYCO DIARY/SCRAPBOOK/FILE/PEN/ERASER/ETC.!
Tada! There you go! I made my very own NYCO Diary as I was looking through some of the junk piled onto my very messy table. I actually have around 10 copies of the NYCO Concert 2008 programme booklet. I have no idea why I have so many though! Well, that's besides the point anyway. Now, let me take you through the process of making an... NYCO Diary!

Firstly, I pick up an unattractive, normal diary. I think I bought it for $1 at Giant some months ago. Cheap books do better in case you make a foul job out of your diary-making.
After that, you can paste all kinds of pictures on the cover. I even had my NYCO ticket there! (It is the 0001 ticket hahaha!) Most importantly, be creative!
Then you can rip up a spare copy of your programme booklet. I simply unbind mine. (If you need any programme booklet, there is plenty in M401!)

I place parts of it randomly at various parts of the book.
I even have a one page tribute to my three instrumental instructors! Don't forget to put in their unglamorous photos, and show them during xiaozu.
Be sure to leave a author's note around! I left mine on the page after the introduction of NYCO. Isn't this heartfelt!
The last page of my diary are pictures of my section! Otherwise you can also put in your own photos if you want to boost your self-esteem :P

And the back cover of my diary are random rip-outs of concert preparation documents, purely reminiscent only to Stage Committee people! Haha. You are almost done! Now, use wrapping plastic for the covers of your diary to protect their beautiful facades.

There you go! Yay... Oh wait, what's that black thing doing on the binds of the diary? If you look closely, I made it to be a bookmark. If it doesn't look like one, pardon me. -_-
It is a black piece of Yangqin mallet rubber. Haha oops, it costs only 60 cents.
Tie it at the upper binds of the diary. I made it into an "8" shape. You can say it is because I am from the 2008 graduating batch, or because I like my book to be auspicious! Gong xi fa cai.
Now, if you are one of those who can't find your pages, use this bookmark to help you. Just pull the long end down into the desired page.
Close it, and there you go! You have a very well functioning bookmark! (Albeit very ugly.)
I completed my own NYCO Diary in 2 hours. I am really proud of it although I used almost one whole roll of double sided tape! Now let me just take a photo with my own NYCO Diary...
If you are pressed for time, consider making other diaries too. I made a Burger King exercise book. Makes me rather hungry. -_-
That's all for today, folks! Now, hurry up and make your own... NYCO DIARY!
Love,
Chewy-Fei aka your
SHUAI GE.

You know. I was surfing blogs. And I saw this. And I shocked dao. -.-

"Change the choice piece? It's equals to not participating in 2009 SYF.
Why?Because there are quite a number of schools had finish practising their choice piece and that includes polishing up everything(e.g. dynamics etc.)"

Like omg wtfh. So yeah you all know that you have to work very very hard! JIAYOU JUNIORS. :D

I tell you a secret okay, I'm gonna pon school be sick to watch you all. :D

PS I still want chun! ((:
